If I could absorb this book into my soul, I would. One of my favourite reads of all time, Hungerstone is full of such raw emotion and despair. Lenore struggles with her well-built life falling apart (somewhat literally) around her, whilst the strange woman she is sheltering in her home tries to make her confront what she truly hungers for. A fantastic entrant into my favourite genre, 'women going feral'. Plus, lesbian vampire! Small town horror! The haunting landscape of the moors! What's not to love?
