About the event
Barbara Dreaver has covered the Pacific for over 30 years, starting as a struggling reporter to become one of the world's leading Pacific correspondents. With warmth and astonishing honesty she takes you inside her grueling and, oftentimes crazy life, as she attempts to cover the events happening across the Pacific Ocean.
She has gained the grudging respect of some, and the enmity of others as she unhesitatingly bears witness to cover-ups, deadly machinations, natural disasters and criminal activity.
She will be joined by Arrun Soma and interviewed by Jessica Mutch McKay
5.30 - 7PM at Te Matapihi Central Library in the Ngā Pou Ruahine Room.
Unity Books as bookseller at the launch of Barbara Dreaver's memoir - Be Brave: The Life of a Pacific Correspondent
