A brave, intimate & vulnerable account of an abusive queer relationship. Machado examines her own experiences & the history of sapphic domestic abuse through numerous different lenses (eg. Lesbian pulp novel, Chekhov's gun, I Love Lucy, choose-your-own-adventure). Ingenious, gut wrenching but ultimately inspiring- this is simply a must read.
